        Microsoft word has been an important aspect of my academic career throughout my entire life. I remember my first time really using it in middle school. My English teacher would always assign us weekly articles and required them to be typed. This was the period when I began to heavily rely on Microsoft word for every typed assignment. I was never really required to use Microsoft in elementary school because my teachers did not care for technology. After middle school, I began to use MS word more frequently. It seemed as if every  teacher required typed assignments which led me to using word even more. There are several reasons why teachers and students use technology in the classroom. The cyber world as we know it is constantly evolving, and it is important that teachers find creative ways to connect with their students. Using technology in a classroom setting allows teachers to conduct a lesson more efficiently, while still getting their point across. In one of our readers about professional development of teachers in relation to technology, it states how technology has served as a tool in bringing many teachers together who would have never met. This goes for students as well. Technology allows you to share ideas with several groups of people without having to travel across the world.         Over the course of the years, technology has become an essential aspect in our generation. My prior experiences using technology has been a learning process. I would not consider myself techolgy savy, but I acquired more knowlege than ever during the past  few months. I recently started my youtube channel in August which allowed me to explore different apps and different feautures on my phone. I learned how to work iMovie better and place differnt pictures together.         In this class, I hope to get better with the basic features of a computer.
