Twitter is a great way to engage with people of similar interests. I found myself interacting with people who are already in their career field. I find this very beneficial because it gives me something to look forward to when I enter my career field. This way, Twitter can be very helpful when I get into my career. It allows me to already develop connections with people in the educational filed. This is extremely important because it gives me the connections and head-start that I need.
The digital divide effects student success in schools because the teacher's instructional methods may not get through to the students. Some causes of digital divide could be that the teachers are not adapting to change as well as students. Also, there could be a huge age gap between the tteachers and students. Being that we are now in an era where technology is rapidly increasing, it has transferred into the classroom. If a teacher does not keep up with this, their instructional technique may not register to students. As a future teacher, I know that technology will play a majr part in my students learning. However, I dont want that to take away from their retension.
When implementing assignments in the course, the students software that I expect to use the most is Microsoft word and PowerPoint. I intend on teaching grades between 9-12 so this would be expected. The software that I plan on not using much is excel. I may briefly go over it but I don find it necessary.

I am glad that you find the Twitter activity beneficial! I really like your opinion from the instructors' perspective: digital divide in teachers is as important as in the students.
