Blog Journal 10

As a future high school English Teacher, using excel will definitely come in handy. I will be able to use it to calculate my student's grades and keep up with them throughout the year. I've always planned on acknowledging the students who work hard so I will also  organize the student's grades from highest to lowest in another excel sheet. I would also pay attention to which assignments/areas that my students lack in so I will also organize their low performing grades. I've learned that excel has many functions, so there is no need to limit myself.

When reviewing my classmates blogs, I thought it was interesting to see that we have the same interests in learning technology. We all wanted to learn more about different educational software/games that will help our students. I also was relieved to discover that I was not the only one who found it harder to use certain software as opposed to the others. For example, we were all familiar with Microsoft word and PowerPoint. There were still some things that we did not know about it but we learned while in thus class. however, excel has still been difficult for a few of us, including myself.

The technology skills that I will like to learn next our how to develop different software. I know this can extremely difficult, but I am up for the challenge. I want my students to experience the best learning skills possible. Why not create my own software that they could access and share with geir friends. I know this may take time to learn, but it will be worth it in the end.
