Blog Journal 7

Before taking this EME course, I have never thought about using twitter. I always thought that it was just another pointless social media cite. Luckily, using twitter in this class has allowed me to bridge the gap in my networking as well as academic skills. I have been able to connect with people who have similar interests as me. These people range from large groups within different school distracts to my fellow peers. I have become more aware of the business side of education too. Twitter has been a great tool as far as my awareness in the educational field.

Completing a web page was something out of my comfort zone. I got to become more familiar with the weebly website and different tools in creating my very own page. What stood out to me the most and a tool that I will use in the future is importing a google calendar into a website. This way, I can plan out all of my future students' assignments ahead of time. They will be able to have access to all of the tools they need just from looking at my website. Even if weebly is not attainable in the future, I will still use the skills I learned by implementing them in my own website.

I have also learned new skills from working with Diigo. I learned how to merge ideas that i learned all into one. This application can be useful in my classroom because it will allow my students to connect with each other, even when I'm not around. If a student needs help finding something, another student might post a helpful article/link on Diigo. This app can be use in my professional efforts for the same reason. It will enable me to discover new information that would of been harder to attain anywhere else.
